1. Kari Peitsamo Mr Peitsamo is a great thinker and metaphysician who makes very cute and touching music.
2. Olavi Virta Mr Virta is the greatest interpreter of Finnish melancholy and passion; a legendary voice of forte and clarity and tango man extraordinaire - even though tangos only formed less than a quarter of his amazing singing repertoire.
3. Kingston Wall This band was comprised of absolutely remarkable musicians and constituted the definition of a power trio. Still on its own level 10 years after the death of the leading singer-guitarist.
4. Ismo Alanko Solo and with bands Hassisen Kone, Sielun Veljet, Seal on Velvet, Vapaat soittajat, Säätiö, etc. A truly great musician and composer with an amazing list of hits. His lyrics are musical and onomatopoeic, so they work easily for non-Finnish speakers as well.
5. Kimmo Pohjonen I will never forget the first time I saw this amazing transposer of the accordion perform for the first time - a totally mind-blowing experience. He has managed to turn the accordion into a sexy instrument!
